As we approach the winter months, Bench Outreach is gearing up to ensure that our services and support are well-prepared to meet the increased demands and challenges that come with colder weather. Here’s a brief overview of our preparations:

1. Enhanced Support Services: We are extending our outreach services to provide additional support to those in need during the winter. This includes increased availability of warm clothing, blankets, and emergency shelters.

2. Partnerships with Local Organizations: We are strengthening our collaborations with local shelters, food banks, and health services to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated response. This helps us provide a wraparound support model for our clients.

3. Staff Training and Resources: Our staff are receiving additional training on winter-specific issues such as hypothermia and cold-related illnesses. We are also equipping them with the necessary resources to effectively address these challenges.

4. Client Outreach: We are proactively reaching out to our clients to ensure they are aware of the available winter services and support. This includes offering advice on staying warm and accessing emergency help if needed.

5. Emergency Plans: We are reviewing and updating our emergency plans to ensure a swift and effective response in case of severe weather conditions. This includes contingency plans for maintaining our services in adverse conditions.

Our goal is to ensure that everyone we serve can stay safe and warm throughout the winter. We appreciate the ongoing support of our partners and community in helping us achieve this.
