Support Worker – Housing First
Office Based – Lewisham
1 Year Fixed-Term Contract
35 Hours Per Week
3-Month Probation
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Bench Outreach is recruiting a Housing First Support Worker to support individuals with complex needs across Lewisham.
Working within a Housing First model, you will provide personalised tenancy sustainment and practical support to people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage. This includes supporting clients to manage and maintain their tenancy, access benefits and services, and improve overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
– Manage a caseload of Housing First clients
– Develop personalised support and tenancy plans
– Support clients with practical tenancy tasks
– Carry out risk assessments and maintain accurate records
– Work collaboratively with partner organisations and services
– Promote independence, dignity and harm minimisation
About You
You will have:
– An understanding of complex needs and homelessness
– Strong communication and organisational skills
– The ability to work independently and as part of a team
– A compassionate and person-centred approach
Experience working with vulnerable adults is desirable. Lived experience of homelessness or recovery is welcomed where appropriate.
Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check. A criminal conviction will not necessarily prevent employment.
